The Next Level for Public Education
Chattanooga 2.0
Nearly 10,000 new jobs will arrive in Hamilton County over the next few years as a result of our rapid expansion in automotive manufacturing and other advanced industries. 55% of the jobs posted by the top ten employers in Chattanooga require some type of postsecondary degree, yet only 38% of Hamilton Country residents have postsecondary credentials. It’s time to prepare our workforce for the years ahead.
Chattanooga 2.0 is a community-led movement to write the next chapter in our future by transforming education and workforce opportunities in Hamilton County.
Our goal is to reach 75% postsecondary educational attainment by 2025. This means in 10 years, three of four of Hamilton County residents will graduate with a certificate, two-year degree, or four-year degree.
Widgets & Stone worked closely with coordinator Jared Bigham to create a basic set of design styles for Chattanooga 2.0 as well as to design the initial report and summary documents. Whiteboard expanded on the design direction to build the web site. Read more at the web site.
